First i want to say that i think it's sad only "those" documentaries are being made. By "those" i mean "negative" documentaries. It's a shame the "western" people hardly make documentaries 'bout all the positive things in Afrika, about the things we (western people) can lurn (a lot) from. Why "we" always look down on them? Afrika got a lot of positive things we will never have..why nobody cares about that? Why doesn't the media sees the beauty?Despite what i just wrote "Enjoy Poverty" is a documentary that will stay in your thoughts for a long time.Renzo Martens sais it like it is. This ain't a pretty story.
Even though it's very "in-your-face", you still gotta c it. The way he spreads his message....is sad but true. His hardness makes you (as a viewer) very uncomfortable. With that said, i'm hopin somebody makes a documentary on how beautiful Afrika can be. Or does really nobody care about that?
